Why You Might Need an Original File
Every JB Remap calibration includes the ability to revert to the original factory mapping. However, there are situations where you may need a verified original file: preparing for a dealer service visit, selling the vehicle, addressing a warranty claim, or simply wanting to return to stock.
Our original files are sourced directly from verified stock reads — never from generic databases. Each file is matched to the specific DME variant, software version and market adaptation of your vehicle.
Important Notes
- Always keep a backup of your original ECU read before any calibration work
- Original files must match your exact DME variant and software version
- Database stock files may not match your specific vehicle — use your own verified read
- After restoring to stock, clear adaptations and allow the ECU to relearn
