ZF 6HP Torque Converter Automatic
Type: Torque converter automatic
The ZF 6HP is a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission used in earlier BMW platforms. It pairs with N54, N55, N63, N47 and N57 engines in E-generation and early F-generation vehicles. TCU Calibration Context
A TCU (Transmission Control Unit) calibration can complement an engine remap by adjusting shift points, torque limits, and shift firmness to match the increased power output. This is especially relevant when the engine calibration raises torque beyond the factory transmission torque converter or clutch thresholds.
TCU calibration is available for the ZF 6HP and is recommended alongside Stage 1 or Stage 2 engine calibrations for the best driving experience.
