Bosch MD1 (MD1CS001 / MD1CP002)
The Bosch MD1 platform is the latest diesel ECU family used in BMW's B47 TU and B57 engines. It features significantly enhanced encryption and security compared to the EDC17 it replaced.

Reading Methods
OBD reading is limited or unavailable on most MD1 variants. Bench reading via the DME connector is the primary method. Boot mode may be required for some newer encryption levels.
File Request Information
Provide: full bench or boot read, DME software version, vehicle VIN, mileage, active fault codes, and reading tool used. Include photos of the DME label if possible.
