Bosch EDC17 (CP45 / CP49 / C06 / C41)
The EDC17 family is Bosch's widespread diesel ECU platform used across multiple BMW diesel engines including the N47, N57, and early B47. Different sub-variants exist for different applications, but all share the core EDC17 architecture.

Reading Methods
OBD reading supported on all EDC17 variants with good tool compatibility. The platform is mature and well-understood. Some newer CP49 variants may benefit from bench reading for a cleaner file.
File Request Information
Provide: full OBD or bench read, ECU software version and hardware number, vehicle VIN, mileage, injector coding values, and any active fault codes. Note the specific EDC17 sub-variant if known.
